These Chinese Victorian-era sterling silver spider and web place-card holders are amazing! Each handcrafted piece has two small wires on the back, which used to be a kick-stand for the web to stand up and hold a place card (probably between the spider and web).
At some point in their life, the spring that allowed the two wires to move was soldered, so these no longer stand on their own.
These could easily be repurposed into jewelry and/or would be great table decor for Halloween or for any goth style.
